As a not for profit organization, YPAM works very hard every day to provide opportunities for children and their families. We cannot do this alone. This is where our amazing sponsors provide their contributions to YPAM. YPAM`s 5th annual grade specific Spelling Bee contest is set to take place on Saturday, November 14, 2020 and Sunday, November 15, 2020. The entire contest will happen online. We are encouraging you to read the Spelling Bee rules (www.ypam.ca/sbrules) prior to enrolling your child

The 2020 year could not have been better for us. YPAM is deeply honoured and grateful to have been recognized as a 'Business Leader of Character' by the Character community of York Region for the year 2020. This recognization is a testimony to the role that all of our supporters, wells wishers, partners, sponsors, parents, children, and volunteers play a role in shaping the organization and participating in our events and programs, let it be in literacy, numeracy, and leadership.
We would like to thank all who have taken their time to nominate YPAM. We would like to thank the Board of Directors, staff, community partners, and funders of the Character community of York Region for your vision and recognizing not-for-profit organizations like us.
It truly means a lot to us. Since the start of 2012 the organization has gone through a roller coaster ride and continues to march forward with its goals.
This recognition is not possible without all the volunteers who play a vital role within the organization, especially to our junior committee members. They are our future, they are our strengths.
Congratulations to all the nominees, on your recogniztion. Together we demonstrate the character within the community.
We cannot express enough our appreciation for the risks our frontline and essential works are taking in the midst of this pandemic. YPAM in collaboration with our community partner Mayuran Tharmabalan from Mayuran Tharmabalan Professional Corporation came together this past week to provide meals to our frontline and essential workers at Markham Stouffville Hospital to express our gratitude for all that they are doing.
Special thank you to TK Kunam for preparing the meals. Thank you to all of the staff at Oshawa St. Louis Bar & Grill, volunteers at Youth and Parents Association of Markham and President and ED Rukshan Para for delivering the meals. We are one team and together we can overcome this hard time.
YPAM thanks all the frontline and essential workers for their spirited effort. We salute everyone, from those in the health care service, psw workers, drivers, grocery store owners and staff, delivery personnel, concierges, housekeeping personnel, and to all the individuals who are on the frontlines during this challenging time to keep our community running with care and health.
